New Marketing Savvy at Planet Digital

Planet Digital, founded in 1996, to help any business achieve its interactive future, today, has recently added another key player to the team.

Paul R. McClain has been contracted as Chief Marketing Officer. In this position, Paul is responsible for development and implementation of sales and marketing plans, strategic planning and development, budget development and staff management. Paul has already achieved several major accomplishments since he began in February, including a Planet Digital image enhancement and all phases of budget, sales, advertising, marketing and public relations effort to accompany the change; relationship development with many vendors and members of the creative community in Orlando, and participation in several partnerships in the development of new products and new markets.

Paul has over 35 years of experience as a sales and marketing executive across many industries, including media, financial, fashion, telecommunications and software. He has been a senior manager or consulted for the Fortune 500 firms of Wells Fargo, Union Bank of California, Hong Kong-Shanghai Bank Group and CitiGroup as well as for the creative firms and advertising agencies of Foote Cone & Belding Worldwide, BBD&O, J. Walter Thompson and DFA Advertising/Forte Creative Group.

Paul also has writing, directing and production experience with many forms of media including film, video, magazines, television and theatre. He has written for such magazines as Vogue, Gentleman's Quarterly, Mobility Magazine and Fashion of the Times (NY Times). He has appeared in over 200 television commercials and has directed over 50 regional and national spots for clients including Sears, Estee Lauder, Revlon, Coca Cola, American Express, Budweiser and Chevrolet.

Paul's firm understanding and implementation of finances, strategies and plans meshes uniquely with his creative and visionary abilities to provide a well-rounded and creative approach to all projects in which he is involved. Though Planet Digital is already carving a niche for itself with clients such as America Online, Ford Motor Company and Bass Hotels & Resorts, Paul will continue to develop The Planet among the business and creative communities locally, nationally and internationally to provide technology education and solutions with the right products, the right service and the right offer.

Paul is a long-standing member of the American Marketing Association. He is actively involved with the Orlando Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Commission.
